Cyclone Arnab Strengthens, IMD Issues Red Alert in Andhra Pradesh

Cyclone Arnab has intensified into a Very Severe Cyclonic Storm and is expected to make landfall near Yanam on the Andhra Pradesh coast Wednesday morning. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued red alerts with winds reaching 125–135 kmph, gusting up to 150 kmph. Schools are closed in parts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. NDRF teams and emergency shelters are prepared. Separately, Delhi Police granted conditional permission for the Opposition's November 1 rally at Ramlila Maidan.
