Cyclone Arnab Expected to Hit Andhra Coast on October 28

Cyclone Arnab is forecasted to cross the Andhra Pradesh-Yanam coast between Bapatla and Visakhapatnam by the afternoon of October 28, bringing strong winds and heavy to very heavy rainfall. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts the cyclone will intensify into a very severe cyclonic storm with wind speeds of 115–125 kmph and gusts up to 140 kmph. Heavy rainfall is expected from the night of October 26 in coastal Andhra Pradesh and parts of Odisha.
