Supermarket fridges and freezers in several European countries were hit by a cyberattack that raised their temperatures, following a similar incident in France last month where refrigeration units heated up to 50°C, causing fires and food spoilage. Similar freezer malfunctions at US military bases are also suspected hacks. Internet-connected devices like fridges can be hacked, posing risks of data theft and service disruption.
