Cyber criminals have targeted smaller NBFCs using specialized AI toolkits, siphoning about Rs 300 crore over the past two months. Nearly 150 complaints or FIRs have been filed, with repeated attacks exploiting weak cybersecurity in NBFCs with turnovers around Rs 1,000 crore or less. Major cities affected include Mumbai, Delhi, and Chennai. The Chinese hacking platform CyberStrike is linked to these attacks.
