CTI Demands Ban on Protests in Delhi Till Diwali to Protect Business
The Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) has requested a ban on large-scale protests in Delhi's main commercial areas from Navratri to Diwali, citing business disruptions. CTI chairman Brijesh Goyal urged the government to create a permanent protest zone outside the city. The festive period starting October 11 is vital for around 15 lakh traders, and protests at Jantar Mantar and Lutyens' Delhi are impacting trade and metro services.
