The Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) has urged Union Home Minister Amit Shah to impose a ban on all protests in Delhi until Diwali. CTI warned that upcoming marches could disrupt the festive season starting March, causing heavy losses to businesses and the local economy. CTI President Brijesh Goyal cited a recent letter demanding no protests during Diwali and Navdurga peak season, noting losses of around ₹2,000 crore from recent demonstrations. Concerns were raised about a march planned for October 16 at Connaught Place, which could further impact Delhi's trade.
