PoliticsCPI(M) Clarifies No Communal Remarks Against Malappuram
CPI(M) state secretary M.V. Govindan clarified that the party never made communal remarks against Malappuram district. He stated the party only criticized how communalism influenced political parties like the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML). Govindan explained that due to Jamaat-e-Islami's influence in Malappuram and Kerala, IUML members are being pushed towards communalism. This came after CPI(M) leader P. Nandakumar's controversial remarks about Malappuram.
