PoliticsCPI(M) Blames Congress for Electoral Roll Manipulation in Kerala
In Kerala, CPI(M) has accused the Congress of manipulating the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, following statements by Cockroach Janata Party leader Abhijeet Dipke linking the SIR issues to the fall of the Pinarayi Vijayan government. CPI(M) cites the appointment of former chief electoral officer Rathan Kelkar by Congress leader V D Satheesan as evidence of bias favoring the United Democratic Front. Protests and allegations of voter removal and bogus additions have been raised by CPI(M) youth groups.
