Corporate bond market liquidity is expanding in the US and Europe, driven by more frequent trading across a wider range of debt securities from blue-chip issuers. In the US investment-grade market, the top three bonds of a company now represent about 35% of trading volume, down 5 percentage points since January 2023. European credit markets show similar broadening over three and a half years. This trend is mainly in investment-grade bonds, while high-yield and major tech firms' bonds remain concentrated.
