COPD Outcomes Worse with Combined Cigarette and Biomass Smoke
A study has found that chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) outcomes worsen when patients are exposed to both cigarette smoke and biomass smoke. The combined exposure leads to more severe respiratory symptoms and complications compared to exposure to either smoke alone. This highlights the increased health risks in populations exposed to multiple sources of smoke pollution.
