PoliticsContractors Oppose Self-Certification for Electrical Installations up to 150 KW
In Belagavi, electrical contractors and stakeholders opposed a draft Electricity Supply Regulation allowing consumers to self-certify electrical installations up to 150 KW, citing lack of technical expertise and equipment. The objection was raised during a Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission public hearing. KERC Chairperson P Ravi Kumar said the commission is gathering statewide feedback to submit a report to the government.
