PoliticsCongress Revives Brahmin-Muslim-Dalit Coalition in Uttar Pradesh
Ahead of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls, Congress is attempting to revive its historic Brahmin-Muslim-Dalit coalition that once dominated state politics. The party appointed Mona Mishra, a Brahmin MLA, as UPCC chief, Imran Masood, a Muslim Lok Sabha member, as working president, and Rajendra Pal Gautam, a Dalit activist and former AAP minister, as state in-charge. This strategy aims to unite key social groups representing over half the electorate.
