Congress Donations Drop 75% to ₹130 Crore in FY 2025-26

Congress received only ₹130.69 crore in donations above ₹20,000 in the financial year 2025-26, a 75% decline from ₹517.39 crore last year. This is the biggest annual drop in large donations in a decade. BJP received nearly 12 times more donations than Congress in 2024-25. A major reason for the decline is an 88% reduction in contributions from the Prudent Electoral Trust. These figures do not represent the party's total income.
