BusinessCongress Criticizes Modi Govt Over Market Fall and FII Outflows
Congress leader Shaktisinh Gohil criticized the Narendra Modi government for the recent fall in the Indian stock market and continuous foreign institutional investor (FII) outflows. He highlighted that over ₹4 lakh crore has left India through FIIs, marking nine consecutive months of negative net inflows, an unprecedented situation as of January 2026. Gohil also condemned the government's capital gains tax policies, which he said increase the burden on middle-class investors.
