Kerala Governor Om Prakash Mathur's directive to allow only vegetarian food at Lok Bhavan has drawn strong criticism from Congress and CPI(M). Leaders KC Venugopal and M V Govindan called it a Sangh Parivar agenda and unconstitutional. Venugopal said the Governor misused authority by imposing his food habits, while Govindan opposed interference in individual food choices. The restriction applies only to the Governor's kitchen, not Lok Bhavan staff.
