PoliticsCommittee to Review Tiger Reserve Buffer Zone Boundaries in Karnataka
The Karnataka State Board of Wildlife's standing committee has decided to form a technical committee to review the forest department's proposal to rationalise buffer zone boundaries of all tiger reserves. Examples include Bhadra and Bandipur reserves, where buffer zones cover both forest and non-forest areas. The proposal highlights regulatory challenges faced by villagers in buffer zones. The panel agreed to study boundary rationalisation.
