Cochin Shipyard Receives Orders for Over 40 Ships from US, Germany, Norway
Cochin Shipyard Ltd, India's largest shipbuilding and maintenance facility, has received orders to build more than 40 ships from countries including the US, Germany, and Norway. Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal highlighted that the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways is fostering a supportive ecosystem for shipbuilding. Russian entities have also shown interest in collaborating with Indian shipyards like Cochin Shipyard.
