The Cochin Port Authority has agreed to provide 52,958.70 cubic metres of dredged sand free of cost to strengthen three rehabilitation sites for families displaced by the Vallarpadam ICTT rail and road connectivity project. The sand is currently stored at Puthuvypeen. Authorities have requested details of contractors, vehicle registrations, and transit passes for transportation.
