Leaders of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) vowed to continue protests demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar's resignation after their release from police custody. The leaders were detained on October 10 at Delhi airport to prevent their participation in a protest march. They were released on October 11 under conditions to maintain peace and good behavior for one year. Abhijeet Dipke returned to Maharashtra for his grandmother's final rites.
