CJP Leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka Released After Judicial Custody

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) welcomed the release of its leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka following a special executive magistrate's order. They were held in judicial custody related to the October 14 protest at Jantar Mantar. CJP's legal head Ratna Singh said the release decision should have come earlier. The police had sought custody extension citing threats, but the defence opposed it, and the magistrate recorded this.
