The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) announced a fresh protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar's resignation over alleged electoral roll irregularities. This follows the detention of around 3,000 protesters, including former chief ministers Arvind Kejriwal, Mamata Banerjee, Pinarayi Vijayan, and Manik Sarkar. While most detainees were released, CJP leaders Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das, Ashutosh Ranka, and YouTuber Dhruv Rathee remain in custody. Police denied permission and took measures to maintain order.
