Civil Supplies Officials Seize One Tonne of PDS Rice in Ranipet

A team led by the Arakkonam Taluk Supply Officer seized one tonne of Public Distribution System (PDS) rice at Arakkonam railway station on Wednesday. The seizure followed orders from Collector N. Priya Ravichandran to prevent PDS rice smuggling. Police and Civil Supplies officials found 22 bags of rice, which were sent to a government godown in Ranipet. A case has been registered, and investigations are ongoing.
