The Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) will begin an indefinite protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi starting December 1, demanding protection of workers' rights and repeal of 'anti-worker' labour codes. Over one lakh workers nationwide are expected to participate, with 40,000 travel tickets already booked from Karnataka and other states. CITU highlighted worsening conditions for unorganised workers and cited 52,910 suicides among them in 2024.
