Christa Pike Survives Botched Execution, Returns to Tennessee Prison

Christa Pike, convicted murderer who survived a failed lethal injection in Tennessee, has been discharged from hospital and returned to prison. On September 30, she received two doses of pentobarbital, which normally would be fatal, but she survived. Pike is the only inmate known to survive lethal injection. She is now at Deborah K. Johnson Rehabilitation Center continuing medical care.
