Chennai Man Sentenced to 22 Years for Sexual Assault on Minor

A 21-year-old man from Manali, North Chennai, was sentenced to 22 years rigorous imprisonment by a special POCSO court for sexually assaulting a minor girl in 2018. He had promised to marry her before the assault. The case was registered at Ennore All Women Police Station, investigated, and chargesheeted to Tiruvallur POCSO court. The sentence includes 10 years for kidnapping, 2 years for house trespass, and 10 years under POCSO for penetrative sexual assault.
