Charles Matata Sets New Record at 2026 Delhi Half Marathon

Kenya's Charles Matata broke the course record to win the men's elite race at the 2026 Delhi Half Marathon in New Delhi, finishing in 58 minutes 52 seconds, one second faster than the previous record set in 2020. He earned $12,000 for the record and $27,000 as the winner. Ethiopia's Wudinesh Alemu won the women's race in 1:06:35. Kenyans dominated the men's top three positions. Indian winners included Shailesh Kushwaha and Ankita Dhyani among elites.
