Centre to Propose Five-Pronged GST Reform Plan on October 8

The Centre will propose a five-pronged reform plan for the Goods and Services Tax (GST) system at the GST Council meeting on October 8. The plan includes process reforms, structural reforms, ease of living and doing business, exports of services, and e-commerce. These reforms aim to automate and ease administrative bottlenecks and reduce compliance burdens, especially for small businesses. GST rates and UPI MDR are not on the agenda.
