Centre Hikes Petrol, Diesel by Rs 3/Litre, CNG by Rs 2/Kg
The Indian government increased petrol and diesel prices by Rs 3 per litre and CNG by Rs 2 per kg, effective immediately, eleven days after assembly election results in four states and a UT. The opposition Congress criticized the hike, warning it would worsen inflation and hinder economic growth.
