Before the second phase of the census, geographic boundaries of census blocks will be corrected to eliminate administrative errors and remove overlapping areas. Identification and correction of missed residential areas from the first phase will be prioritized to prevent double counting. Digital maps for about 2.425 million housing enumeration blocks have been completed. Census officials must finish this work by November 25, focusing on resolving boundary inconsistencies and verifying data in the field.
