CDS Announces 2-Year Extension for 75% Agniveers Under Agnipath

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) announced a major change in the Agnipath scheme, stating that 75% of Agniveers will receive a two-year extension in their service. Additionally, 25% of Agniveers will be made regular soldiers. The first batch's tenure ends on November 21. The government has also announced 20% reservation for Agniveers in police, PAC, prisons, and home guards without any exam, as declared by CM Yogi.
