CCI Approves Xavier Niel's 16.2% Stake Acquisition in Vodafone Group

The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved French billionaire Xavier Niel's proposal to acquire a 16.2% stake in Vodafone Group Plc. Niel is acquiring the shares through his family investment vehicle Vega SAS, a subsidiary of Maya SAS. Vodafone Group operates in Europe and Africa, with Vodafone Idea Ltd providing services in India. The deal was announced after an agreement with Emirates Telecommunications Group.

ISRO Plans Five Major Missions Including Gaganyaan Unmanned Flight

ISRO strengthened India's NavIC system by successfully launching the NVS-03 navigation satellite, bringing the total to four satellites in orbit. Two more satellites are being prepared, and one is awaiting approval to reach the required seven for better navigation services. ISRO plans at least five launches this fiscal year, including the first unmanned mission of Gaganyaan, with three unmanned missions planned before sending humans to space. ISRO flew NVS-03 satellite with pyro valves open to ensure mission success
