CBSE Promotes Digital Payments in Schools with New Measures

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notice to promote digital payments in schools across India. The Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, developed a plan to expand access and usage of safe digital payments in the education ecosystem. Schools are advised to enable payments via UPI, RuPay cards, and adopt UPI Lite variants in low-connectivity areas for fees, canteens, libraries, and other services.
