Case Filed Against Thiruvananthapuram Mayor and BJP Councillor for Forged Signature

A case has been registered against Thiruvananthapuram Mayor V.V. Rajesh, BJP councillor K. Sugathan, and the Corporation Secretary for allegedly forging Sugathan's signature in council meeting attendance records from February to April 2026. The complaint was filed by CPI(M) councillor S P Deepak. Sugathan was detained under the Kerala Anti-Social Activities Act due to involvement in multiple criminal cases. Forging signatures could lead to disqualification under the Kerala Municipality Act.
