HealthPhoto: MintCancer Drug Prices to Drop Up to 70% from November 9 in India
India's National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) has capped trade margins at 30% on 137 non-scheduled anti-cancer drug formulations, aiming to reduce retail prices by up to 70%. The revised prices will be effective from November 9. This move, under the Trade Margin Rationalisation mechanism of the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013, follows expert committee recommendations to make cancer medicines more affordable.
