Cancer Drug Prices Cut: Breast Cancer Medicine Now ₹37,358

The Indian government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reduced prices of over 1,000 cancer drugs, effective from November 9, 2026. A breast cancer drug previously priced at ₹83,520 will now cost ₹37,358.35. This move is expected to save consumers over ₹3,502 crore annually. The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority capped trade margins on 137 cancer drugs based on expert recommendations.
