TechnologyPhoto: Deccan HeraldCaller Name Display Mandatory on Mobile Phones from November 1
Starting November 1, Indian mobile users will see the names of unknown callers on their screens through Calling Name Presentation (CNAP), mandated by the Department of Telecommunications. CNAP will be enabled by default on 4G and 5G networks. If the caller's number is not saved, the system will fetch the registered name from the originating operator's database. International calls will show as "International Call."
