Cabinet May Announce 3% DA Hike for Central Employees in 2026

Central government employees and pensioners await a possible 3% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) effective from July 2026. The cabinet meeting on October 28 is expected to decide on this hike. Currently, DA is 60% of the basic salary, which could rise to 63%. Employees with ₹18,000 basic salary may get an additional ₹540 monthly. No official announcement has been made yet.
