WorldBritish Airways Flight Returns to London After 28,000 ft Drop
British Airways flight BA295, flying from London Heathrow to Chicago, declared a general emergency and rapidly descended 28,000 feet from 37,000 to 9,000 feet about an hour into the flight. The Boeing 777-200ER then turned back and landed safely at Heathrow after nearly four hours in the air. The airline confirmed a technical issue and said passengers disembarked normally.
