British Airways Flight Drops 28,000 Feet Over Ireland, Returns to London
A British Airways flight from Chicago to London experienced a sudden altitude drop of nearly 28,000 feet while flying over Ireland on Monday. The aircraft descended from 37,000 feet to 9,000 feet within minutes due to an unknown glitch. After flying for 4 hours and 47 minutes, the flight returned to Heathrow Airport. The drop was equivalent to 10 times the height of Burj Khalifa and 27 times the Eiffel Tower.
