BusinessBMW to Cut 20% of Senior Management by Mid-2027
BMW plans to reduce about 20% of its senior management roles by mid-2027, focusing on around 100 high-level positions. The Munich-based carmaker aims to use artificial intelligence to streamline management amid weak demand in China and Middle East conflict impacts. CEO Milan Nedeljkovic said most cuts will be in Munich. This follows a July plan to cut 8,000 white-collar jobs globally, about 5% of its workforce.
