BMTC to Install ADAS Technology in 50 Bengaluru Buses for Safety

The Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) will install Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) technology in 50 buses as a pilot project to enhance safety and prevent accidents. ADAS will detect driver drowsiness, distraction, collision risks, lane departures, and pedestrian hazards, issuing real-time warnings. The system includes cameras and sensors that monitor driver behavior and send data to BMTC's central dashboard. The selected agency will maintain the system for two years.
