A study of 204,938 UK Biobank participants found blood protein and metabolite profiles linked to adherence to the EAT-Lancet diet. These blood markers showed stronger associations with various health outcomes and predicted life expectancy better than the diet score itself. However, the observational study does not prove that the diet caused these health differences.
