Bihar Cancels 3.5 Million Fake Ration Cards, Benefits Millions

Bihar has received about 13.9 lakh new ration card applications, issuing cards to approximately 7.4 lakh eligible families and adding 14.6 lakh new members. Around 8.45 crore people benefit from 2.09 crore ration cards under the National Food Security Act. About 80% of beneficiaries have completed e-KYC. The One Nation One Ration Card scheme enabled 3.65 lakh Bihar cardholders to access ration in other states by October 2026.
