Bhopal Ex-Newspaper Owner Sentenced to 10 Life Terms for Minor Girls' Rape

A special POCSO court in Bhopal sentenced 78-year-old former newspaper owner Pyare Miyan to 10 life imprisonments and fined him Rs 77.64 lakh for raping and sexually assaulting five minor girls since 2014. His accomplice Rabia Bi received 20 years in prison. Miyan lured victims with fake job offers of Rs 10,000 monthly. Sentences run concurrently under POCSO and IPC laws.
