Bharat Petroleum's standalone net profit for the quarter ending September fell 22.5% year-over-year to ₹4,993.17 crore due to volatile crude oil prices amid renewed conflict in West Asia. Despite a 29% increase in revenues, margins were impacted. The Mumbai-based refiner's profit declined from ₹6,442.5 crore in the same quarter last year. The company also noted no logistical issues if a lower ethanol blend is introduced.
