WorldBengaluru Traffic Violations Reach Five-Year High in Eight Months
Bengaluru recorded over 24.5 lakh traffic violations in the first eight months of 2026, surpassing annual totals of the previous five years. The main offences were wrong parking (48.56%), signal jumping (35.95%), and no entry violations (14.57%), together making up over 99% of cases. Footpath riding and reckless driving were less common. Data shows nearly 1.28 crore violations in six years.
