In Bengaluru, research organizations presented models to aid governments in preventing damage from extreme weather linked to climate change during Climate Week. CSTEP introduced BHRIGU, a platform addressing data gaps to support policies on heatwaves and floods. BHRIGU targets resilience in six urban areas expected to house 600 million people by 2036. Concurrently, the World Resources Institute launched Data Lab Connect to help organizations tackle urban heat and water challenges using data-driven risk assessments.
