BCGCL Starts ₹25,000 Crore Coal Gasification Project in Odisha

Bharat Coal Gasification and Chemicals Ltd (BCGCL), a joint venture between Coal India Ltd and BHEL, has begun construction on its ₹25,000 crore coal gasification project in Odisha. Most tenders have been awarded, said Managing Director Peeyush Kumar. The project supports India's goal to build 100 million tonnes of coal gasification capacity by 2030 to reduce imports of LNG, urea, ammonia, and methanol.
