Bank of Baroda Gold Loan Appraiser Arrested for Rs 1.45 Crore Fraud in Andhra

Kakinada police arrested Narava Suribabu, a 59-year-old gold appraiser at Bank of Baroda's Kakinada branch, for allegedly committing a Rs 1.45 crore gold loan fraud. He misused gold pledged against 44 loan accounts by replacing genuine jewellery with imitations. Police recovered 1.021 kg of gold jewellery out of an estimated 1.057 kg stolen. The case was registered under Section 316(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
