Bangladesh opposition leader Nahid Islam warned against facilitating an Indian transit corridor through Bangladesh and called for a fair water-sharing agreement with India before the Ganges treaty expires in December. Speaking at a Dhaka rally, he accused Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's government of enabling the corridor and threatened protests if the water-sharing terms do not protect Bangladesh's share. The NCP was formed by leaders from the 2024 student protests.
